In 1930 industrialist Edward B. Gallagher and his wife built a three story 18th century style house on several acres of land in Norwalk, CT. In 1965 the city of Norwalk acquired the mansion and grounds from the Stevens Institute. The English fieldstone manor stands today as dozens of people walk their dogs, bring their children to the playground, picnic, wander the wood or play disk golf.
The grounds of Cranbury Park include several trails, and one can walk about two miles around the perimeter of this old estate.
