The Oliver Theatre opened in 1947 with seating for 302 and with only one screen. This classic Streamline Moderne, popular in the ‘Golden Age’ of cinema, has continually provided entertainment through the decades and still stands today as Oliver's only movie theatre.
Alex Gough was the original owner and sold it in 1964 it to the Lesmeister family and they operated it until 2018. It is now under new ownership.
Lyle Miller and Kandise Ife, a couple from Maple Ridge to Oliver in early 2017. They became the new owners of the Oliver Theatre in April 2018.
