The Naval Air Station Tillamook was constructed in 1942-43 to house eight K-class blimps which were used for anti-submarine coast patrol. Two hangers were built at the NAS, one was destroyed by a fire in 1992 and the second is the home of the Tillamook Air Musuem. The museum has on display over 30 aircraft many of which date from World War II. Also on display are many photographs related to the construction of the hanger and World War II.
