It is made up of two stations: the Teide Cable Car base station, which offers a bar and restaurant-buffet service, and the upper station, in La Rambleta, at 3,555 meters, with sensational views of the island of Tenerife and the Canary archipelago.
The trails of the Mirador de La Fortaleza and the Mirador de Pico Viejo, both freely accessible, offer magnificent views of the north and south slopes of Tenerife respectively. From the Mirador de Pico Viejo it is possible to see the neighboring islands with the 800-meter-diameter crater of Pico Viejo at the foot.
The Telesforo Bravo trail to the crater is restricted by means of a free special permit from the Teide National Park, to be processed in advance due to high demand.
The Teide Cable Car operating hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the last climb at 4:00 p.m. Tickets can be obtained either directly at the box office, or comfortably by booking on the web.
From the Teide Cable Car website it is possible to book hiking experiences with a guide, ascent in the Cable Car and access permit to the crater, as well as experiences to contemplate the sunset and the stars outside the normal hours of operation of the Cable Car.
