The chimney is situated at the Pump House a Greene King pub located at Albert Dock in Liverpool.

The Grade II listed Pump House was formerly an Hydraulic Engine house, was erected in 1878 by G.F.Lyster and comprised of an hydraulic engine house, accumulator tower and chimney. The structure is constructed in the mixture brick, sandstone and terracotta under a slate roof. In 1986 the building underwent a restoration to become the Pumphouse Inn.

The Grade II description of the building and chimney by British Listed Buildings reads as follows;
"(Formerly listed as Hydraulic Pumping Station to East of Canning Half-Tide Dock)
Former Hydraulic Engine house, accumulator tower and chimney,1870s. Brick with stone dressings, slate roof.
Engine house has gable with louvre.
Round chimney on square base has machicolated cap to north. Lower part of accumulator tower to south." Source: (visit link)
