The foundation for this sculpture is in the shape of a school crossing sign. It is white with black trim. Two silhouette figures adorn the top face of the artwork. What appears to be a mother is mostly standing up, holding a purse in her left arm, facing the school. She is reaching down with her right hand to grab a boy's hand. The boy is flat on the surface of the foundation, except for his head which is almost vertical.
