The Azenha de Paderne was originally built during the Arab period (8th - 13th centuries. It was associated with the nearby castle.
Nowadays it's own by a private individual but access is allowed and in fact a hiking trail passes here. Around the old building there are several millstones, some used as picnic tables, others just there, for exhibit purposes.
