Camp Olmsted was donated to the Council in 1926 by George W. Olmsted, a local philanthropist and one-time National Camping Chair for the Boy Scouts of America.

Camp Olmsted has provided countless outdoor educational and environmental experiences for countless thousands Scouts and other groups since it opened for business in 1927.
Camp Olmsted is a true jewel and is the pride of the Chief Cornplanter Council. It's the place where memories are made.

Non-Scout groups, with proper paperwork, may rent Camp Olmsted for events or outings. To inquire about renting the camp, it's buildings or outdoor equipment such as canoes, low ropes challenge course, or climbing tower, contact the Chief Cornplanter Council office 9 AM to 5 PM Monday thru Friday.

Camp Olmsted is located just 15 miles north of Warren, in the beautiful scenic mountains of the Allegheny National Forest in Northwestern Pennsylvania. It includes: 485 acres of natural woodlands, three miles of waterfront with access to the 24-mile long Allegheny Reservoir lake that was created in the summer of 1967. The lake has 91 miles of shoreline, primarily unspoiled, which allows for limitless water-skiing, motor boating and sailing usage.
