O Sonho was created in 1997, when Tôr became a parish. The sculpture was created by Francisco Silva and its creation was supported by the local municipality (Loulé). It's located in the main street of this small village in Southern Portugal. There is a plaque with the time line of the process, since in 1931 the idea of making Tôr a parish came up.
