Dallas News"Wheat, LAWRENCE REAGAN "LARRY" was born, November 16, 1961, in Big Spring, Texas to Walter Lee and Frances Reagan Wheat. A fourth generation resident of Howard County, he graduated from Big Spring High School where he excelled in band, choir, and drama. He attended Texas Christian University studying under the world renowned Lili Kraus earning a Bachelor of Piano Performance. He then went on to attend the University of Texas and received a Masters Degree in Architecture. Larry resided in Dallas and worked for various architectural firms. At the time of his death he was a self-employed architect. He was a member of the Dallas City Planning Commission and was an advocate for urban renewal within the city. He was chairman of the Zoning Ordinance Advisory Committee and had also previously served on the Dallas Community Development Commission. Larry had an intense passion for the arts and was an accomplished musician as well as an artist. He played a variety of instruments and owned a beautiful singing voice. He was a featured pianist at many national and international festivals."
