"Long of more than a kilometer and in the shape of an arc extending from the tip of Breton in the north to the tip of Gros Morne in the south, it is the longest beach in Guadeloupe.
Its caramel-colored golden sand contrasts with the luxuriant vegetation made up of coconut and grape trees and a pond on one side, and the sea on the other.
The pond located in its eastern part is fed by the Mitan river which, punctually, following heavy precipitation breaks the dune line of the beach, bringing the sea into contact with the body of water which becomes brackish.
It is possible to visit this pond by kayak, stand-up paddle or pedal boat available for rental on the beach. "
