In Portugal there are two sorts of hiking trails, the PR and the GR. This means, Pequena Rota and Grande Rota, which translate as Short Route and Long Route. Creating and keeping these trails is usually a task of the municipalities and in this case LLE is the acronym of Loulé, a municipality in Algarve, the southernmost region of Portugal.
Serras e Montes means Mountains and Hills. It's a 8,5 km long circular trail which can be considered as divided in two parts: initially the hiker will go mostly through small villages and hamlets and then it's just nature and natural landscape. Specially recommended in the winter or early spring, when the nature it's at its better in this region.
Easy parking on the spot, where there is also a restaurant.
