Saint Dominic’s Parish is close to my heart. I attended school there from 1939 to 1947. Both of my children went to school there from the 1st grade until graduation in the 8th grade. I was very active in the 1970’s being the President of the Parish Council for 4 years and the Scoutmaster for three years. During that time there were five Sunday masses in the church and two in the chapel. At the 11:00 o’clock mass attendees stood in the lobby and along the walls on the side since all the pews were full.
I understand now there are only about 200 attend mass on Sunday. The Hamilton neighborhood has changed dramatically.
