Floods happens nearly every year at the River Mosel. Usually the high water does not reach the buildings, but rarely this happens and the building near the bank are flooded. When this happens markers are attached to the building to remember this events. The flood with the highest level in the past hundred years was in the year 1993 when the river hits new records.
