On the walkway of the fortress wall is this compass rose together with an outdoor siren.
It has a diameter of about 1.50 meters and the four cardinal points have been carved into the steel for orientation.
The compass rose is made entirely of steel and the grid can be stepped on to get a better view. However, it is not advisable to do so on Saturdays at 12 noon, because that is when the weekly test alarm of the outdoor siren takes place.
