Zdjęcie przedstawia pociąg Elektrycznych Kolei Dojazdowych (EKD), wyjeżdżający z przystanku w Pruszkowie w kierunku Komorowa. Dokładny model kolejki to EN80, produkcji English Electrics.

The photo shows an Elektrycznych Kolei Dojazdowych (EKD) (eng. Electric Commuter Railway) train leaving Pruszków in the direction of Komorów. The exact model is the EN80, manufactured by English Electrics. Only one survived to this day, and it can be seen during a visit to the EKD/WKD House of Tradition, at the line's terminus in Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
The photograph was taken in 1930, three years after the passenger service was launched, from the then wooden viaduct on Armii Krajowej Street. The photograph shows what the landscape of this part of Pruszków looked like shortly after the railroad line was established there. Only 2-3 characteristic buildings can be seen and the whole area looked more like a village... as it actually was. The buildings visible on the right side of the photograph belonged to the village of Wyględówek, which is currently a residential district of Pruszków. The stop itself, visible just behind the train, had wooden shelters on both sides, and behind them stood the traction substation, which no longer exists in its contemporary form.

The EKD line has not changed its route on this part to this day, but the name of the company has changed to Warszawska Kolej Dojazdowa (eng. Warsaw Commuter Railway). The present photo shows an EN97 train in the current WKD colors. On the left, residential buildings, and in the background, a fragment of the current Pruszków WKD stop with numerous buildings around. Embankments are the only characteristic points which can "link" these two photos. The world is changing ;)
