[EN] Situated on the north slope of the valley of the Célé river, the Notre-Dame-du-Puy parish church dominates the town of Figeac.
With the Saint-Sauveur abbey church, which rises above the banks of the river, they make up the two centers around which the medieval city developed. Its construction began between 1270 and 1280 according to a slient transept plan and a two side aisle nave with a central bell tower. The tower was completed in the 14th century along with the construction of the funerary chapels. This edifice underwent numerous transformations in the 17th century following the Wars of Region. In spite of modifications made at the end of the 19th century, the influence of the Catholic Reformation on the interior layout still remains today.
