Mt. Hope Cemetery is south of Highway 36, west of Mankato, Kansas. The "entry arch" is on Highway 36 but the actual entrances are on a gravel road on the west side of the cemetery. This well-tended cemetery is final rest for about 3200 souls. For those interested in such things, there are two NGS disks (a triangulation station and a reference mark) along the white rail fence at the northwest corner of the cemetery.
