St. Theresa's Catholic Church is on the southeast corner of Monroe and Commercial in Mankato, Kansas. At a time when there were only a few score Catholics in Mankato, a basement church was constructed in 1949 and was dedicated later that year. Ten years later, this new church was built on the basement foundation; the cornerstone, dated 1959, is on the northwest corner of the church. It was dedicated in September 1959.
