Situé au coeur du village, ce calvaire est nommé calvaire de l'ormeau car à ses côtés se tenait l'ormeau de Sully. Fin 16ème siècle, début 17ème, Sully, ministre d'Henri IV demande à toutes les communes de France de planter un tilleul ou un ormeau à proximité de l'église ou de la place du village. Le but étant d'ombragé les réseaux routiers alors en pleine expansion. Le calvaire est composé de 2 matériaux distincts :
-le socle en pierre sur lequel est gravé la phrase en latin "Ô crux ave spes unica" qui pourrait se traduire par "Ô croix nous te saluons espérant nous unir", avec en dessous, la date de la mission : 1840. Sur la face opposée, une autre inscription en français 'Vive Jésus, vive sa croix".
-la croix quand à elle, est en fer forgé avec des "S" successifs pour combler le vide intérieur. A l'intersection des 2 montants, un coeur représentant l'amour de Dieu ou la dévotion au Sacré-Coeur.

The ordeal is made up of 2 distinct materials:
-the concrete base on which is stone the phrase in Latin "Ô crux ave spes unica" which could be translated as "O cross we greet you hoping to unite us", with below, the date of the mission: 1840. On the on the opposite side, another inscription in French 'Vive Jesus, vive sa croix'.
-the cross when it is wrought iron with successive "S" to fill the interior void. At the intersection of the 2 uprights, a heart representing the love of God or devotion to the Sacred Heart.
