'The March 1879 Primitive Methodist magazine contains a note of the opening of a new Primitive Methodist chapel. It cost £2,300 of which they had raised half. (visit link)

This Chapel replaced an earlier one built in 1835 on Kirk Michael Street in the town. 'The church closed in the 1970s when the congregation merged with the Atholl Street Methodist Church.'
