An easy to find USGS benchmark disk in the city of Loudon in Loudon County, TN. This disk is right off the sidewalk but there are houses & private property all around so please play nice and stay on the sidewalk.

Parking is very close at N 35° 44.150 W 084° 20.770

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1968 AT LOUDON. AT LOUDON, ABOUT 0.75 MILE SOUTHWEST ALONG THE SOUTHERN RAILWAY FROM THE STATION, ABOUT 0.2 MILE SOUTHWEST OF MILEPOST 160, ABOUT 0.1 MILE NORTHEAST OF THE CROSSING OF HIGHLAND AVENUE, SET IN THE TOP OF THE NORTHEAST END OF THE NORTHWEST HEAD WALL OF A 5-FOOT CONCRETE BOX CULVERT UNDER A BLACKTOP STREET THAT PARALLELS THE TRACK, 60 FEET NORTHWEST OF AND ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE NORTHWEST RAIL, 15 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE STREET, ABOUT LEVEL WITH THE TRACK AND ABOUT 1 FOOT ABOVE THE LEVEL OF THE STREET.
