"Erigée au 11e siècle et plusieurs fois réaménagée, l’ancienne collégiale surprend par l’homogénéité qu’elle dégage. Sa géométrie, engendrée par un jeu de volumes où cubes, cylindres et cônes s’imbriquent presque instinctivement, renforce la cohésion de l’ensemble. L’imposant monument, en moellons de calcaire et de grès, s’articule au départ de sa tour occidentale, pourvue d’une flèche octogonale élégamment piquée de quatre petites pyramides. Trois nefs de cinq travées, suivies d’un chœur clôturé par une abside semi-circulaire et deux absidioles, poursuivent le déploiement de l’édifice.
L’architecture romane se ressent dans le rythme harmonieux des fenêtres en plein cintre encadrées par des arcs aveugles. A l’intérieur, la période romane se raconte, entre autres, dans le chœur et les absidioles voûtées en « cul-de-four » ou en quart de sphère. D’intéressantes pierres tombales ainsi que des stalles du 13e siècle (sièges en bois réservés aux membres du clergé) ornent l’intérieur du bâtiment. Sous la tour et le chœur, la présence de deux cryptes, ayant abrité les reliques de Saint-Hadelin, participe à la grande valeur patrimoniale de l’édifice. Depuis 1947, l’église Saint-Hadelin est reprise au patrimoine exceptionnel de Wallonie."

" Erected in the 11th century and several times refurbished, the former collegiate church surprises by the homogeneity it exudes. Its geometry, generated by a play of volumes where cubes, cylinders and cones fit together almost instinctively, reinforces the cohesion of the whole. The imposing monument, made of limestone and sandstone rubble, starts from its western tower, with an octagonal spire elegantly pierced by four small pyramids. Three naves of five bays, followed by a chancel enclosed by a semicircular apse and two apsidioles, continue the unfolding of the building.
The Romanesque architecture can be felt in the harmonious rhythm of the semicircular windows framed by blind arches. Inside, the Romanesque period can be seen in the choir and the apsidioles, which are vaulted in a "cul-de-four" or quarter sphere. Interesting tombstones and 13th-century stalls (wooden seats reserved for clergymen) decorate the interior of the building. Beneath the tower and the choir, the presence of two crypts, having housed the relics of Saint-Hadelin, contributes to the great heritage value of the building. Since 1947, the church of Saint-Hadelin has been included in the exceptional heritage of Wallonia."
