The historic crest for this river was recorded on February 10th 1961 at 24.80 ft. The lowest river level on record was ironically in November of the same year. A low of -9.3 ft on November 19th 1961. The National Weather Service has a very interesting River Forcast page for this station. In addition to a regular weather forecast for the upcoming week it includes a projection of the rivers levels for the next six days. The gage is adjacent to a water intake flume for the Eugene Water and Electric Boards steam generation plant to the west of the gauging station.
