NL Op vakantiepark Herperduin kwamen wij een apart 'chalet' tegen met een mooie zandsculptuur van een eekhoorn in een gefortificeerde stadsring. Voor het chalet staat een bord met de tekst:

Welkom bij 's werelds eerste permanente Zandhotel!

Het Zandhotel is een initiatief van de organisatoren van het Zandsculpturen Festival Brabant, en geinspireerd door de IJshotels in Zweden en Finland, waar men in en rond ijssculpturen kan overnachten. Het Zandhotel is een gethematiseerde verblijfsaccomodatie, volledig in de sfeer van Zandsculpturen. Zoals u ziet staan er diverse zandsculpturen rondom het Zandhotel, en het is de bedoeling dat deze sculpturen jaarlijks worden aangepast en bijgebouwd.

De muren in de Zandhotelkamer zijn met zand bekleed, en staan er diverse zandsculptuurtjes in het Zandhotel. Uiteraard is er een (zandvrij) comfortabel bed en een luxe badkamer... onze gasten zijn van alle gemakken voorzien.

At holiday park Herperduin we came across a separate 'chalet' with a beautiful sand sculpture of a squirrel in a fortified city ring. There is a sign in front of the chalet with the text:

Welcome to the world's first permanent Sandhotel!

The Sand Hotel is an initiative of the organizers of the Sand Sculpture Festival Brabant, and is inspired by the Ice Hotels in Sweden and Finland, where you can spend the night in and around ice sculptures. The Sand Hotel is a themed accommodation, completely in the atmosphere of Sand Sculptures. As you can see, there are various sand sculptures around the Sand Hotel, and it is the intention that these sculptures will be adjusted and added annually.

The walls in the Sand Hotel Room are covered with sand, and there are various sand sculptures in the Sand Hotel. Of course there is a (sand-free) comfortable bed and a luxurious bathroom ... our guests are fully equipped.
