The original Central Fire Station at this location was constructed in 1909, as part of City Hall. The station was remodeled by the WPA and continued to serve as the only firehouse in Ada until the modern Fire Station #2 was constructed. This station is no longer in use as a firehouse; peering through the windows indicates that it is now used by the city for general storage.

This 2014 video news report gives some history on the station and on its planned (at that time) replacement. This 2017 news article covers the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new station, and also gives a little back story on this old one.
