A 28' wide and 16' high neon American flag art installation called Glowing Glory was created by Pacifico "Tony" Palumbo in response to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The lighting of the flag took place on November 25, 2001 after the local electric company, WMECO, donated a power cable.

To view the flag from Colrain-Shelburne Road, northbound motorist need to look up and to the west after passing Coombs Hill Road. Southbound motorist can use Coombs Hill Road as a collecting feature and look back and up to the west. The coordinates for the viewing location from Colrain-Shelburne Road are: N 42° 38.663 W 072° 40.475
