[GER] Im Loki Schmidt Garten - Botanischer Garten der Universität Hamburg (Botanischen Garten Groß Flottbek) steht diese große Stammscheibe eines Küstenmammutbaumes (Sequoia sempervirens). Die Baumscheibe hat einen Durchmesser von ca. 2,5m.
Der Küstenmammutbaum wird über 100m hoch und erreicht einen Stammdurchmesser von 3-5m. Die ältesten Exemplate haben ein Alter von ca. 2200 Jahren.

[ENG] In the Loki Schmidt Garden - Botanical Garden of the University of Hamburg (Botanical Garden Groß Flottbek) is this large trunk disc of a coast redwood (Sequoia sempervirens). The tree disc has a diameter of about 2.5m.
The coast redwood grows over 100m high and reaches a trunk diameter of 3-5m. The oldest specimens have an age of about 2200 years.
