Cette résidence à la française comporte trois ailes qui forment une cour intérieure. Les avant-corps sont sommés de frontons polychromes. L'ensemble du bâtiment est en briques peintes, en calcaire, en pierre de France et en marbre.
Couronnant l'avant-corps principal et se détachant sur la grande bâtière d'ardoises avec croupes, large pignon à ailerons et pots-à-feu, ajouré de 3 baies et supportant un fronton courbe ornée d'acanthes, d'un médaillon et d'un phylactère avec inscription 'ARMORE NON TiMORE' et millésime de 1729. Au tympan triangulaire de l'aile occidental, décors similaire et inscription avec chronogramme :
"The Palais Abbatial is part of the abbey district of Saint-Hubert Abbey. After a tormented history of destruction, fires and looting, the abbey district was renovated in the classical style from 1729 to 1731, under the abbey of Célestin de Jong. Renovation work completed in 2003 restored the palace to its original appearance. Since then, the monument has been classified as a Walloon Major Heritage site.
This French-style residence has three wings forming an inner courtyard. The front of the building is decorated with polychrome pediments. The entire building is made of painted brick, limestone, pierre de France and marble.
It is crowned by the main front building and stands out on the large slate frame with rumps, a wide winged gable and fire pots, openworked with 3 bays and supporting a curved pediment decorated with acanthus trees, a medallion and a phylactery with the inscription 'ARMORE NON TiMORE' and the year 1729. On the triangular tympanum of the western wing, similar decoration and inscription with chronogram:

which gives the date 1729 (IIVMDVVICLIVVL).
At present the former abbey complex houses the State Archives Service and the Service for the Dissemination of Cultural Affairs of the Province."
