EN: The rectory of Münster is located on Furka Street just west of the parish church.

It is a typical medieval Valaisan dwelling house with a brick foundation and kitchen corner in the northeast; the rest of the three-story building is made of wood.

I could not find out any details about its history. A stone plaque says that the prince-bishop, cardinal, politician, and army commander Matthaeus Schiner spent his last night in this house in 1517 before fleeing the Valais. The house must therefore be over 500 years old.

DE: Das Pfarrhaus von Münster befindet sich an der Furkastrasse gleich westlich der Pfarrkirche.

Es handelt sich um ein typisches mittelalterliches walliser Wohhaus mit einem gemauerten Fundament und Küchenecke im Nordosten; der Rest des dreistöckigen Gebäudes ist aus Holz.

Über die Geschichte konnte ich keine Details in Erfahrung bringen. Eine steinerne Gedenktafel besagt, dass der Fürstbischof, Kardinal, Politiker und Heerführer Matthäus Schiner 1517 seine letzte Nacht vor der Flucht aus dem Wallis in diesem Haus verbrachte. Das Haus muss also über 500 Jahre alt sein.
