In 1916 the Austrian Army errected the first electric street lantern in Ohrid, North Macedonia. 100 years later a commemorative plaque was made to remember that event. It says in two languages (Macedonian and German):
The first electric street lantern was erected on this spot by the Austrian Army in 1916.
'100 years of electric light in Ohrid!'

Behind the plaque there is a black street lantern that looks old, but is not. The regular one was just replaced by a nostalgic one.
