The Masonic cornerstone at the northwest corner of the Major County Courthouse gives the year of construction as 1928 AD and 5928 AL. The pink granite stone also bears the Masonic seal. The text on the dated (north) side of the cornerstone is given below. The other face of the stone names judges, county commissioners, and the courthouse architect and builder.
