St. Jerome Church was founded to serve the Croatian community on the south side of Chicago.

According to a history provided on the church website, this building was purchased from a German protestant domination, but the name of that church seems to have been lost. It opened at St. Jerome's in 1912. More than 100 years later, the parish still holds one service a week in the Croatian language, along with several in English. ( visit link)
