This fine pioneer windmill is on display by the Tarleton House, at the Stephenville Museum in Stephenville, Texas.

The Tarleton Ranch House was moved to this location in 1991. Part of the display is a rainwater cistern, with pipes leading from the ranch house gutters, and this fine pioneer windmill. One can imagine that this windmill also provided water to the house during hot, dry Texas summers.
