The Boots Baubatz Park is named after the first Mayor of the City of Fair Oaks Ranch. The park has an ample parking lot that is reached by turning left off of Keeneland Drive right as you reach the first houses of the neighborhood after crossing Balcones Creek bridge when driving westward from Ralph Fair Road. From the middle of the parking lot, the first tee is just yards away, on the park side of the sidewalk that parallel the parking lot. The first basket is fairly straight ahead from the 1st tee area, but a bit to the left and behind a tree, as viewed from the tee area.
The whole disc golf course is placed between the flood zone of Balcones Creek, but the creek is often dry, so the 9 hole course is usually dry and accessible. The fact that a creek does form a boundary of the disc golf course means that on the occasions when there is water in the creek, several holes of the disc golf course may need to be played more conservatively to keep the disc out to the water. Most the time, the creek will be dry.
Each tee has a post with a well design information plaque showing the distance, par value, and layout of the fairway design. There are wooden beams placed in the ground to indicate the pad area for throwing the disc for that hole.
