360 - Oklahoma City, OK - Revolving Restaurants on Waymarking.com

Constructed in 1964, Founders Tower hosted the second revolving restaurant constructed in the United States, with the Seattle Space Needle being the first. As one might imagine, the views from the top of the tower are spectacular. At this time the restaurant is named 360 and is on this Wikipedia list of revolving restaurants. However the restaurant was closed at the time of my visit due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was stationary, and there was no access to that level of the tower.

Back in this waymarker's college days (late 1970s) the restaurant was the Eagles Nest and it was where you took a girl who you really wanted to impress. It was the sort of place where the girl's menu didn't have prices. I had a few dates here and hardly remember the girls but do still remember the views! And yes I always got a table on the revolving edge. We timed it once; right at two minutes per revolution. Now that was a fun date!
