Today it's the Cox Convention Center but back in the day it was The Myriad, the only large (by the standards of the day) arena in central Oklahoma until The University of Oklahoma in Norman constructed their Lloyd Noble Arena. I went to many a rock concert here back when I was in high school and college! But one I missed was on July 8, 1975, when Elvis Presley performed at The Myriad. I am occasionally at the Cox Convention Center for business and am always startled at how small it is, compared to my admittedly aged memories of past concerts and the larger venues of today.
Metered parking is available on streets throughout the area; all-day parking at one of several parking garages.
