An eternal flame veterans memorial is located just outside the entrance to the Veterans Memorial Building in Cookeville, TN which houses several veteran service organizations.

The eternal flame engraving reads:
"In honor and memory of Putnam County Veterans"

It was dedicated in a service on Memorial Day 1969.
