Translated from the above noted text:
The small church of Saint-Columban recalls the agricultural vocation of the lands of Templeton-Ouest in the 19th century. Georgian in style, it was erected in 1899 by Irish settlers living too far from Pointe-Papineau to go there to hear masses. The adjacent small cemetery is home to the graves of Catholic and Irish pioneers from this rural area. Saint Columban’s Church was inventoried in 2004.
