This unique door handle is located at the former Firehouse No. 1 at 414 French Street in downtown Erie, Pennsylvania. The handle on the main door is made from the brass nozzle of a firehose. The building was used as a firehouse from 1908 until 1979. After it was closed, the building was repurposed as Pufferbelly Restaurant. The restaurant was decorated with antique firefighting tools, including this nozzle door handle. The restaurant closed in 2015 and the building was purchased by Erie Insurance, which has converted the building to an event center for their buisness.
