Robert Bourassa , né le 14 juillet 1933 et mort le 2 octobre 1996 à Montréal, est un avocat, fiscaliste, économiste et homme politique québécois. Il est premier ministre du Québec, fonction qu'il occupe sous la bannière du Parti libéral du Québec à deux reprises : du 12 mai 1970 au 25 novembre 1976, puis du 12 décembre 1985 au 11 janvier 1994. Il est connu pour avoir été premier ministre lors d'importants moments de l'histoire du Québec comme la crise d'Octobre, l'accord du lac Meech, la crise d'Oka et l'accord de Charlottetown.

L'assurance-maladie (1970), le régime des allocations familiales du Québec (1973), l'aide juridique (1973), la Charte québécoise des droits et libertés de la personne (1975), marquèrent aussi son premier mandat.

Il mourut en 1996, à Montréal, d'un cancer de la peau, à l'âge de 63 ans. Il est enterré au cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges à Montréal.

Robert Bourassa, (July 14, 1933 – October 2, 1996) was a Canadian politician from Quebec. He served as the 22nd Premier of Quebec in two different mandates, first from May 12, 1970, to November 25, 1976, and then from December 12, 1985, to January 11, 1994, serving a total of just under 15 years as Provincial Premier.
He is known for having served as premier at important moments in Quebec's history such as the October Crisis, the Meech Lake Accord, the Oka Crisis and the Charlottetown Accord.

Medicare (1970), Quebec's family allowance system (1973), legal aid (1973), the Quebec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms (1975) also marked his first term.

He died in 1996 in Montreal of skin cancer at the age of 63. He is buried in Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery in Montreal.
