[EN] In front of the entrance to the church in Nieborów there is a worth seeing statue of Mary holding the child, placed on a column, which is also the burial place of the first owner of the church grounds.

Otherwise known as the Madonna, Mary is the mother of Jesus Christ, the wife of Joseph of Nazareth and at the same time one of the most important figures in Christian religions.
She was born in Jerusalem or Seforis before 20 BC. In accordance with the vows of her parents, Mary was given to the priests and temple women at the age of three. Later, when she grew up, she was being prepared for marriage. Joseph of Galilee was chosen by the Holy Spirit. When she was in Nazareth, Archangel Gabriel proclaimed to her that she would give birth to a son through the Holy Spirit, which also happened in Bethlehem. Mary also appears during Jesus' life on the Way of the Cross and also under the Cross. She spends the last years of her life in Ephesus. After her death, she was taken to heaven with her body.
