The stadium of Olympia was the place where in the ancient Olympian games, races would be held. In 2004 it was used as the location for the shot put events.

In 2007 I went on a holiday with my family in Greece. We visited the stadium of Olympia, and had a race with people from the group. I won! Now when I was checking the pictures of the vacation again, I found out that the stadium has been used for the shot put events in the 2004 Olympiad of Athens (wikipedia). The old stadium is now also a modern olympic venue!
