Municipality which could have been called Chandolas with the two churches, because it is made up of two parishes: Chandolas and Maisonneuve. The oldest church of Chandolas dates back to the 12th century, of which we find remains in the old post office. It was demolished during the wars of religion by a raid by the Protestants. The economy of the prosperous village, thanks to the silk industry, the current church was built in the 19th century

Commune qui aurait pu s'appeler Chandolas aux deux églises, car elle est constituée de deux paroisses : Chandolas et Maisonneuve.L'église de Chandolas la plus ancienne remonte au XIIème siècle dont on trouve des restes dans l'ancien bureau de poste. Elle fut démolie durant les guerres de religions par un raid des protestants. L'économie du village prospérant, grâce à l'industrie de la soie, on construit au XIXème siècle l'église actuelle
