Bigelow's Tavern is a well-preserved example of late 18th-early 19th century vernacular architecture. Its rectangular main body measures 36 feet 10 inches by 28 feet 9 inches. Set gable end to the street, the tavern is a 2 l/2-story, double-pile, three-bay, center-entry, center-chimney, skived clapboarded structure with its main facade oriented not toward the street but facing south.
