"A natural and unusual curiosity, this arboretum is located in the commune of Rendeux, on the banks of the Ourthe and is considered to be the first in Wallonia due to the diversity and rarity of the species, varieties and cultivars it houses.

Created in 1937 by Robert Lenoir, a forest owner with a passion for dendrology (the part of botany that deals with the study of trees), the Robert Lenoir arboretum has belonged to the Walloon Region, now the SPW, since 1991. The site of more than 22 ha comprises four very specific parts: the Ourthe islets, the Arlogne valley, the Wanny hillside and the area known as "Dessous le Gros Chêne".

The Rendeux arboretum is a part of the Walloon Public Heritage and allows the observation of grandiose trees from all over the world. Among the most complete collections, let us mention the rowan trees (Sorbus), the charcoal trees (Euonymus) without forgetting the numerous maples and rhododendrons. The arboretum is superb in all seasons, but spring and autumn remain the two high points of the year."
