A dove of peace depicted as being deceased at the bottom of a tree stump, symbolic of a life cut short on a child's grave. The dove is life size and is carved from white marble and is one solid piece along with the tree stump.

Myrtle Kate's grave marker is made of white marble and is approximately two and a half feet high by one and a half foot wide and was recently cleaned and reset by local resident and cemetery caretaker Tim Pendergraft.
