The Childress County Courthouse, built in 1939 of stone in the Moderne style, still serves as county courthouse. The 1939 before photo shows the courthouse shortly after its construction. Another before photo from the late 1950s is also in the gallery. The exterior of the courthouse has not much changed since that time.
