The Schönfeld Park Sound Path in Kassel is a project that combines music, art, nature, fun and games, movement and encounters in public spaces. With his now nine sound installations and a guidance system for the sound objects, he would like to invite visitors to the park to discover the richness of the sound of the objects and to intensify the senses for the sounds of the objects in interaction with the sounds of nature.
Try out different ways of playing, invent little pieces, enter into a musical dialogue with your fellow players, with the birds, the stream and the wind - listen ... When you strike the stones and wood, you can hear the sounds that have been since Millions of years have been suspended in them.
The idea of ??“sound objects in public space” was presented by Prof. Walter Sons as part of Kassel's Capital of Culture application in 2002 and then implemented by him over the years with the support of a group of committed participants.
Park and sound path are accessible at any time without admission. Trams and buses take you there directly (especially tram lines 5 and 6, stop Park Schönfeld, bus line 27, stop Botanischer Garten).
