This sign is located in front of Alburtis Borough Hall. It describes the incorporation of the borough in 1913. It was named by the directors of East Penn Railroad in 1859 to honor Edward K. Aburtis, Civil Engineer and Board Member, who lived 1824-1895.

The area was previously called Lock Ridge.
